Make every moment count
The series
Well over the years I have written about training, performance improvement, testing tools, project management, call centres, managing people, teams and more.
Well from this month and throughout 2002 I am going to write about making every moment count. Why? Well, we never know when our time is up.
Sure this newsletter offer the latest in business knowledge and it’s also a vehicle for offering human to human thoughts, comments and feelings about this world. A world which involves our personal and professional lives yet both have a common thread, you.
So I want to give you a new series in 2002 called Making Every Moment Count.
It’s about getting more out of life both personally and professionally.
It’s different, new and real. If it helps you achieve more in any area of your life over the coming months then this series will have achieved its objective. I hope you enjoy.
So what do people do that stops them from Making Every Moment Count? Sometimes they are conscious sometimes they are not.
Not Participating
This is about taking a passive or apathetic role or position.
Be a Problem
This is about creating road blocks.
Sugar and Spice
Not wanting to rock the boat.
Be the judge and jury
Picking, justifying. Lack of empathy.
Change the subject
This is about not addressing the issue at hand.
Lie and gossip
There are many levels to lying including lying by omission. Gossiping is straight forward and done out of ear shot of the person involved.
Persecuted to the persecutor
You got me so I’m going to get you or I’ll get you before you get me.
Blame
Not take responsibility for involvement in the activity.
Any sound familiar for you or others? Over the coming months I will talk more about these and give you the opportunity to reflect and hopefully improve your world. I truly hope it adds to your life either personally or professionally.

Personally Speaking
Hope you had a great Easter. I did as I had my sister and family with me from interstate.
“Welcome to St George”. A big welcome to everyone at St George/ Bank SA. It’s been a pleasure meeting with you and I am excited to welcome you on board ‘the ride’ which is ahead over the coming months.
My office will be moving soon. Not sure where yet but the new office will be furnished. So if you are looking for any office furniture I’m happy to put things on hold for you. It will include stand alone workstations (great for home office) some computers (fast processors), cupboards, book cases and office chairs. So if you are looking for office stuff let me know before we advertise.
Til next month.
Kind regards,
Sam
